CONSULTATIONS ON HEALTH, HEALING & WELLNESS
My mission is to share knowledge and insight of healing foods and plant medicines made in a mindful manner to restore, sustain and promote good health and well-being.
We will meet at my bright and comfortable studio, a safe haven hidden off the street, where I make plants into medicine. It's an inviting private hideaway amongst a rather wild and established landscape of herbs, flowers, vegetable gardens, shrubs and trees. Welcome!
Beginning with your history as a foundation for your current concerns, together we will consider lifestyle and dietary factors and agree upon a plan that works for you. We will discuss, in detail, contributing factors and options that will improve your health. Your custom plan for healing and wellness may include healing with food, plans for food lists and preparation, and supplements that may support you. I will formulate herbal remedies just for you. I will give you the tools, support and encouragement in movement towards your goals.
I am compassionate, very direct, and truthful in working with clients. Passionate about my work, I believe natural healing requires our direct participation, so I will encourage and expect yours. I'll inundate you with as much information as you are interested in to help you on your path.

Do you want to learn to identify the plants and weeds in your own environment? In the countryside and mountains? Are you interested in learning the plants used as medicine that are in your own gardens and surrounding area?
One of my greatest loves is to introduce plants to you out on the land, in mountains, country, forests, or in your own backyard.
Schedule a time for yourself or for a group to meet the wild plants and weeds in your urban environment or in our beautiful Colorado mountains and foothills.

& Sacred Plant Medicine Apprenticeships
Do you feel you have a calling to learn about natural healing and herbs for yourself, your family and community? Do you want to begin to disseminate and translate all the conflicting information about health, healing, herbs, supplements, food, pharmaceuticals, Western allopathic medicine and plant medicine?
There are many avenues you can choose to learn about herbs. There are schools which teach in very different ways than learning from nature, on the land, and hands-on experience. Some schools offer certificates and others offer degrees. Apprenticing with me would be learning more in the "old way" and you will gain knowledge and experience according to your own dedication and self-motivation. Every person is attracted to different aspects of this way of healing and health. If you are chosen, your apprenticeship can be suited to your particular interests, inclinations and beliefs. I will teach you one-on-one and devote great energy to you in our time together. I will match the energy and enthusiasm you bring to me.
I learned about herbs as medicines in the Sacred Plant Medicine tradition. This path honors the life and spirit in all things, including plants. Native peoples of all cultures who have lived close to the land and have not separated themselves from nature, learned to love, honor and respect the plants, trees, rocks, animals and all creatures of the earth as living spirited entities that we coexist with for mutual benefit. I believe we are all part of that which is greater than our separateness - whatever we call it. My words for "it" is God or Creator. All other words or names or descriptions are, to me, valid, crossing all languages or semantics barriers. I find my "religion" and my teachers in nature and in recognizing the life and spirit in all things.
In this tradition, you will learn about herbs first by recognizing that you can intuitively communicate with them and all things of nature. It is a meditative process to walk reverently on the land, to touch a tree and feel its spirit, or to sit with a plant, introduce yourself and allow yourself to open and listen and feel what comes. Also, I will teach you many of the uses of herbs as medicine, traditionally and from my personal experience. You will learn how to make plants into medicines and learn when and how to use them. You will learn how to formulate healing remedies. You will learn about healing with whole foods.

Individual apprenticeships include introduction to herbs in the Sacred Plant Medicine tradition. You will meet herbs in the medicinal herb garden and learn wild plant identification on field trips to our surrounding Colorado foothills and mountains. You will also learn herbal medicine making and from discussions of clinical applications. Each apprenticeship is individualized.
Apprenticeship sessions are generally 3 hours twice a month, with wild-crafting and field trip days extending to 6 or so hours.
